Make Sure You Always Have An Emergency Roadside Kit In Your Car

The only thing worse than being stuck on the side of the road when your car is broken down is being stuck on the side of the road and not being prepared. It is always a good idea to have an emergency roadside kit in the car just in case. But what are should you include in your emergency roadside kit? We have a few key things that everyone should have in their vehicles just in case.

  • Triangle reflectors, preferably three. If you are every broken down you will watch to place the triangles 50 feet apart to alert oncoming traffic that there is a hazard and to slow down.
  • A flash light and extra batteries. We know that almost all cell phones today have some form of flash light on them but you don't want to waste your phones battery.
  • A blanket. Having an extra blanket in your car can help keep you warm if you end up being stuck for a long time without power and it is cold outside.
  • Bottled water and nonperishable food. You never know how long you could be stuck for and if you aren't close to town having food and water could be a real life saver.
  • Jumper cables. Sometimes all you need is a simple jump to get back on the road. Or you can help someone else out who also needs a jump.
